Our Journey

From a simple idea to a growing digital entertainment platform.

TulaWatch was founded in 2020 with a simple mission: to help viewers stay connected to the entertainment they love, wherever they are. During the COVID-19 lockdown, we started by sharing missed TV episodes with communities through WhatsApp, giving people an easy way to catch up on their favorite shows.

As demand grew, so did our vision. In June 2021, we launched the TulaWatch website, transforming from a small community initiative into a subscription-based streaming platform serving audiences in Uganda and the diaspora.

Over the years, TulaWatch has continued to expand its library with TV soaps, movies, series, and live TV channels while investing in technology to deliver a better viewing experience. Today, we are also building partnerships with broadcasters and content creators, helping them distribute their content digitally and reach wider audiences.

Our journey is only beginning, and we remain committed to connecting viewers with premium entertainment while creating new opportunities for media partners.

2020
The Beginning
TulaWatch began during the COVID-19 lockdown as a community initiative on WhatsApp, helping viewers catch up on popular TV soaps from Spark TV and Bukedde TV. As demand grew, users requested content from more television stations, inspiring the creation of TulaWatch as a dedicated digital entertainment platform.
2021
Official Launch
Launched the TulaWatch website on 17 June 2021, transforming from a WhatsApp community into a subscription-based streaming platform serving audiences across Uganda and the diaspora.
2022-2023
Rapid Expansion
Added thousands of movies, series, novelas, and live TV channels due to overwhelming demand from our growing community.
2024 & Beyond
Digital Growth & Partnerships
On 19 January 2024, TulaWatch was officially incorporated and received its Certificate of Incorporation from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), marking a new chapter in our journey as a growing digital entertainment and distribution platform. Since then, we have continued to expand our platform, strengthen partnerships with broadcasters and content creators, and deliver exceptional entertainment experiences to audiences across Uganda and the diaspora.

Founder & CEO
Emmanuel Ewajju is the Founder & CEO of TulaWatch and Tumiza. Passionate about technology and digital media, he leads the company's vision of making quality entertainment more accessible while building digital distribution opportunities for broadcasters and content creators. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science at Kyambogo University.
